Eye altitude (metres) below which the ground-atmosphere scattering is fully faded out, and above groundFadeFarAltitude fully applied, with a smoothstep in between. Near the surface the atmospheric path is negligible and the single-scatter model would over-redden the terrain ("Mars" tint); from space the full effect is preserved. Set both equal-or-inverted to disable the fade (always-full, legacy behaviour); set groundFadeFarAltitude to 0 to force the ground atmosphere off entirely.
