Geo Tiff Reader
Cross-platform TIFF / GeoTIFF reader. Operates on a BinaryDataView over the raw bytes so the same code compiles for JVM, Android, JS, and iOS targets — no platform-specific DataView / ArrayBuffer / ByteBuffer dependencies.
Currently handles the slice of the spec needed for elevation pipelines: striped or tiled rasters with BYTE, SHORT, LONG, FLOAT, DOUBLE samples in UNCOMPRESSED or PACK_BITS compression. CCITT / Group3 / Group4 / LZW / JPEG strips log a warning and return empty pixel data — same coverage as the JS reader this is ported from.
Functions
Same data as createElevationShortArray but returned as FloatArray — for callers that prefer to keep float-format precision (e.g. JS decodeBuffer for high-altitude coverages where INT16 truncation loses the sub-metre fraction).
Decodes the raster into a ShortArray suitable for elevation consumption. INT8 / INT16 / INT32 samples are converted by truncation; UINT samples are sign-extended; FLOAT32 / FLOAT64 samples are rounded to the nearest int16 (with Float.MAX_VALUE mapped to Short.MIN_VALUE to preserve the engine's null-data sentinel convention).
