class DTED

Cross-platform DTED (MIL-PRF-89020B) reader: decodes the UHL/DSI/ACC header and per-column elevation records into a row-major, NW-origin grid (row 0 = north, col 0 = west). The null sentinel -32767 and out-of-[-12000,+9000] values normalise to Short.MIN_VALUE. Entry points: parse (full, in-memory), readMetadata (header only ~3.4 KB), and JVM read(file) overloads (streaming, ~7 KB peak vs ~26 MB).

Security classification when present in the UHL or DSI record.

val elevations: ShortArray

Row-major grid, north→south / west→east; missing posts are Short.MIN_VALUE.

val height: Int

Number of latitude posts (rows).

val level: Int?

DTED series level (0, 1, or 2) when present in the DSI record.

val maxElevation: Double

Highest valid elevation in metres, or 0.0 if the tile has no valid posts.

val metadata: DTED.Metadata

Header-only view (sector, dimensions, level, classification).

val minElevation: Double

Lowest valid elevation in metres, or 0.0 if the tile has no valid posts.

val origin: Location

North-west corner (WorldWind's "origin" convention).

val sector: Sector

Geographic extent; DTED tiles are always 1°×1° with a SW-corner origin.

Number of longitude posts (columns).
