Parse the header. extraHeaderBytes accounts for a format-specific header extension after the fixed 28 bytes (i3dm's gltfFormat uint32 → pass 4); the tables and payload are shifted by it. Throws IllegalArgumentException when the payload is shorter than the header or the magic / version / sub-lengths fail spec validation.
